Me and my family been booking for diner at Cafe Trattoria for years now. Almost a monthly event so to speak. We brought many friends and family over the years. The lovely hostesses, often Sophia and Maggie if I recall correctly, were always adding to the experience positively. The ambiance is simply a charm. And the cuisine...to be fair and honest, I may be a big fan of the Linguine Pescatore - oil and garlic of course -, the eperlani fritti, gamberetti cognac - and the chocolate tartuffo to only give more into gluttony (and some grappa Moscato Cleopatra as a finish) - AND yet I can only say that I never picked anything to my disliking in the menu. It is always the promise of a nice evening. And the wine menu? The finest and this at any budget. I warmly recommend. Over and over again.

Can't believe it took so long for my first visit to Tratorria Caffe Italia, and I was not disappointed. Unpretentious and casual, our food was delicious and primo. Very impressive wine cellar catering to all wallets (lol). The owner is very nice and attentive, as were his staff. Can't wait to visit again.

This is a little taste of real Italy with authentic flavours. In Italy, food is an integral part of art and culture, and not merely a meal. Every dish tells a unique story of tradition, creativity, and togetherness. From the artistry of hand-rolled pasta to the bold simplicity of a pizza, Italian food provides a window into the heart and soul of Italy. This laid-back yet passionate lifestyle turns food in Italy into a true expression of "la dolce vita" (which means "sweet life"). You can tell the higher quality ingredients which makes the taste just stand out in each one of their dishes I’ve tried. You cannot go wrong by spending money on really good food and this place is by far one of the absolute best. Thanks so much, Dominic! Such a pleasure!

Old school Italian restaurant. I ordered the Vitello Parmigiana and it was delicious. The restaurant had a live accordion player which was neat. My only complaint is that it was a little dark.

The BEST Italian food in Ottawa. We've been coming here for a few years. Went to Tuscany last fall, and the food at this restaurant was as good, if not better. It's consistent, has a real Italian feel and the food is so good

We went to this beautiful restaurant for our daughter's birthday. The ambiance is nice and the employees courteous. They have a large selection of wine and liquor. An accordeon player played happy birthday for our birthday girl. The food was warm and delicious. I ate the Manicotti, others had bruschetta and various plates of pasta. Overall our experience was good.

The service, food, and drinks were great! The only problem was parking I had to look for 15 minutes and park two blocks away.

I had such a wonderful experience here this past week. I came with my in-laws and we’ve been raving about it ever since. Drinks, food, atmosphere and above all – service was amazing. We’ll definitely be back.
